The Food and Drug Administration warned a fertility doctor to stop marketing an unapproved IVF technology that creates a human embryo using the DNA of three people.

In a strongly worded August 4 letter, the FDA reminded New York-based Dr. John Zhang that it had declined his request to run clinical trials on the experimental technique mitochondrial replacement technology, or MRT.

Since December 2015, Congress has prohibited the FDA from reviewing applications on clinical tests involving genetically modified human embryos "until safety and ethical issues can be resolved," reports Bloomberg BNA.

"Also, researchers don’t know what impact the procedure will have on the babies it produces," it notes.

MRT aims to prevent diseases passed through mitochondrial DNA by transferring the mother's nuclear DNA to a donor egg in which the nucleus has been removed but the mitochondria remains.

Zhang, who runs New Hope Fertility Clinic and associated company Darwin Life, has previously been in the news for claiming to engineer the "first live birth" using the MRT technique he says he pioneered.

Pediatrician: ‘Transgender’ ideology has created widespread child abuse

Transgender politics have taken Americans by surprise, and caught some lawmakers off guard.

Just a few short years ago, not many could have imagined a high-profile showdown over transgender men and women’s access to single-sex bathrooms in North Carolina.

But transgender ideology is not just infecting our laws. It is intruding into the lives of the most innocent among us — children — and with the apparent growing support of the professional medical community.

As explained in my 2016 peer reviewed article, “Gender Dysphoria in Children and Suppression of Debate,” professionals who dare to question the unscientific party line of supporting gender transition therapy will find themselves maligned and out of a job.

Americans need an alternative to the mainstream media. But this can't be done alone.

Public library hosts children's storytime led by drag queens dressed as nuns

The Boston Public Library just hosted the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence," men in drag dressed mockingly as Catholic nuns, yet again.  This time for children's storytime.

Seeking to honor homosexual "Pride Month" in June, the library happily announced a "Drag Queen Storytime."  The San Francisco-based group enjoys non-profit tax deductible status.

Believing that guilt "chains the human spirit," the group advocates that every person do whatever their passions dictate.  It uses Christian terms and contorts them to mock the sacraments and church life in general, such as "Sister Inferior" and "Sister Hysterectoria."

The men call themselves "queer nuns," even though the anti-Catholic group is openly devoted to promiscuity.  Their slogan is a ridicule of Jesus’ words to the woman caught in sexual sin.  Instead of "Go, and sin no more," the men "queers" have created their trademark slogan as, "Go forth and sin some more!"

LGBT community celebrates 8-year-old drag queen. Critics call it child abuse

The bawdy, homosexuality-infused world of female impersonators is celebrating an eight-year-old Montreal boy who performs as a "drag queen" under the stage name "Lactatia." But pro-family critics say his parents and all adults who encourage the boy to participate in the lewd shows are guilty of "child abuse."

Thanks to "gay" media, the cross-dressing boy, Nemis Quinn Mélançon-Golden, is becoming a social media star after appearing on stage in late May with vulgar drag queen "Bianca Del Rio" at the Montreal stop of the "Werq the World Tour." Del Rio tells Nemis — wearing red eye-liner, lipstick, painted nails, a curly, blond wig and dressed in a black woman's gown with sequins -- that he is "[f--k--g] adorable."

Like every other pro-family advocate shown the video of young Nemis in "drag," Illinois Family Institute cultural writer Laurie Higgins was aghast at the specter of a young boy embracing the "drag queen" lifestyle, telling LifeSiteNews, "This is unambiguous and shameful child abuse. Through the 'trans' cult movement, evil is being promoted as good, and innocent women and children are the victims."

Petition calls for repeal of ‘totalitarian’ bill allowing children to be taken from Christian homes

LifeSiteNews has launched a petition for the repeal of the Kathleen Wynne Liberals' Bill 89, which passed last week by a vote of 63 to 23.

Pro-family advocates warn the bill gives the state power to seize children from families that oppose the LGBTQI and gender ideology agenda, and allows government agencies to effectively ban couples who disagree with that agenda from fostering or adopting children.

"Make no mistake, Bill 89 is a grave threat to Christians and all people of faith who have children, or who hope to grow their family through adoption," says Jack Fonseca, senior political strategist for Campaign Life Coalition.

"This is a direct hit against parental authority," echoed Tanya Granic Allen, executive director of Parents As First Educators (PAFE), which along with the Association for Reformed Political Action (ARPA) has been at the forefront of lobbying against the bill.

Children Must Be Taught Transgenderism, Homosexuality Starting in Nursery School, Teachers Say

An organization of teachers in the U.K. has argued that homosexuality and transgenderism should be taught to young children starting in nursery school.

Members of the National Union of Teachers group voted for a measure at a conference in Cardiff to "campaign to ensure a comprehensive age-appropriate content including promotion of LGBT+ matters for all schools from nursery throughout all phases of state education," The Evening Telegraph reported on Tuesday.

Stop Bill 89: Tell Kathleen Wynne to leave our kids alone!

image from www.therebel.mediaThere's a new bill in Ontario, one that threatens our children.

Bill 89 codifies the Liberal government’s belief that children belong to the state, not their parents.

If passed, Bill 89 will repeal and replace the existing Child and Family Services Act. That Act governs everything from child protection services and foster care to adoption.

However, rather than promoting child welfare as it purports to do, Bill 89 is a totalitarian bill. It will provide the state with the powers to seize children from their families for the sake of gender ideology, possibly even preventing religious parents from ever adopting or becoming foster parents.

Judge's reasonable doubt ends unseemly chapter for prominent pastor

Criminal sexual misconduct allegations are often complicated and nuanced, and when the charges are also historic and date back four decades, exceedingly difficult to prove.

That is the bottom line of an unseemly chapter that ended Tuesday for Toronto's famous gay pastor, Rev. Brent Hawkes of the Metropolitan Community Church.

The 66-year-old, much-decorated Hawkes - he was appointed to the Order of Canada and the Order of New Brunswick, his native province, and received as well the Award of Merit from the City of Toronto, his adopted home - was acquitted of indecent assault and gross indecency upon a teenager at the school where he then taught and coached basketball.

Teacher had sex with 13-year-old girl, court hears

A 13-year-old boarding school student and her teacher had sex in a hayloft, a barn, a tennis court, his bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen and even the principal's bedroom, a trial heard Monday.

"He told me I was a good girl," said the former student, now 45. "It was kept secret."

Former physical education teacher and school handyman, Giancarlo Marchi, 50, has pleaded not guilty to gross indecency and sexual intercourse with two vulnerable female students in the 1980s.

'Totalitarian': Ontario gov't bill makes it easier to seize children from Christian homes, say critics

Ontario's governing Liberal Party has proposed a bill claiming to protect children that critics say actually gives the state more power to seize them from their families.

The changes could be used to enforce gender ideology in the home, pro-family critics are warning.

"The totalitarianism embedded in this bill is breathtaking," says Campaign Life Coalition vice president Jeff Gunnarson. "These are gestapo-like tactics, and I can't believe we're witnessing it unfold in the legislature that's supposed to represent us."

How trans activists are unethically influencing autistic children to change genders

Has the transgender movement gone too far?

It began, commendably, as activism for the rights of that very small number of people who experience persisting discomfort with their biological gender. But it has evolved into an ideological movement to normalize the practice of changing genders - and in the process is crossing ethical lines with a particularly vulnerable subset of young people struggling with issues of gender identity.

A recent article by Elise Ehrhard in Crisis Magazine, a Catholic periodical, addresses the aggressive approach by adult trans activists in recruiting adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome or other types of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to their cause.

Teacher pleads guilty to sexually touching teen

A Nova Scotia teacher and soccer enthusiast has pleaded guilty to invitation to sexual touching involving a teen student.

Sarah Allt Harnish, 36, is also charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. The gym coach at Five Bridges Junior High in Hubley had been slated to go on trial next week.

Cops say the assaults involved one male student and occurred between September 2015 and March 2016.

Hamilton dad loses fight to pull kids from school over "false teachings"

Steve (Eustathios) Tourloukis wanted to be alerted by Hamilton's public school board anytime a long list of topics he considered an attack on his Greek Orthodox religion came up in lessons.

In turning down the request, Justice Robert Reid also refused to declare parents have the final authority over the education of their children in a ruling last Wednesday in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Hamilton.

The ruling puts inclusion and equality before individual religious accommodations in public education and in a diverse society.

Judge upholds forced LGBT indoctrination in Ontario schools, tells Christian dad to pull kids out if he objects

An Ontario judge has ruled against a Hamilton father of two in a decision critics say strikes a major blow to parental rights.

Steve Tourloukis took the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) to court after it refused to give him advance notice when his children would be exposed in the classroom to sensitive subjects, such as homosexuality and abortion.

He wanted advance notice so he could decide whether or not to pull his kids from lessons he found objectionable according to his Greek Orthodox faith.

If gender identity debate at U of T was about free speech, then the battle is truly lost

My God, if that thing at the University of Toronto on Saturday was a debate about free speech, then the battle is already well and truly lost.

This was the "forum" on Bill C-16 put on by the arts and sciences faculty, wherein the embattled psychology professor Dr. Jordan Peterson was to engage in presumably spirited discussion about implications of including "gender identity" and "gender expression" in the Canadian Human Rights Code and the Criminal Code.

(Those amendments were the focus of C-16, which passed in the House of Commons on Friday, as compared to Bill C-17, which is how the university helpfully described the event on the tickets to it. Bill C-17 actually amended the federal Food and Drugs Act and passed into law two years ago.)

'I feel like a boy, mom:' Doctors seeing an increase in preschoolers convinced they are in the wrong body

Olivia loves Disney's Frozen princesses, all things sparkly, bright tights and ballet. During her family's Cuban vacation last summer, she danced in the children's "mini-disco" before the evening shows, twirling and leaping across the stage. One night another guest turned to her parents, exclaiming, "Your daughter is the girliest girl I've ever seen!"

Olivia was born a boy.

She "socially transitioned" from male to female, in nursery school last year. She was four years old.

Human rights commissioner weighs in on ze and hir

Are Ontarians obliged to use ze and hir instead of he and she?

The war of words over gender-neutral pronouns that has led to two disciplinary letters against University of Toronto Professor Jordan Peterson was sparked in large part by the requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Certainly, the university noted the OHRC in its request that Peterson address students by the pronoun of their choice and to stop speaking out about what he sees as the intrusion of political correctness and the use of hate speech laws to 'weoponize tolerance' and stifle debate in post-secondary institutions.

Man testifies he witnessed prominent Toronto pastor Brent Hawkes perform sex act on friend

A man testifying at the trial of a well-known Toronto pastor says he saw the religious leader perform a sexual act on a teenage male at a Nova Scotia home decades ago.

John Douglas Aylward was on the stand in Kentville provincial court today for the trial of Rev. Brent Hawkes, an influential gay rights advocate who officiated at former NDP leader Jack Layton's state funeral in 2011.

Aylward said he knew Hawkes in the 1970s, when he was a student and Hawkes was a high school basketball coach in the Annapolis Valley.

Forced Transgender Boy Quickly Returns To Normal After Removal From Mother's Care

A seven-year-old boy has been removed from his mother's care by the high court, after he was found to be suffering "significant emotional harm" due to his mother raising him as a girl.

The judge in the case slammed social services who had simply accepted that the boy should be treated as a girl.

The High Court judge hearing the case, Mr Justice Hayden, told the court that he believed the mother had been "absolutely convinced" that the boy "perceived himself as a girl" and was therefore determined to treat him as a girl, according to reports.

However, the boy, who cannot be named and is now living with his father, has naturally reverted to having masculine interests since leaving the care of his mother, the court heard.

Should drag shows be used as a teaching tool in Alberta schools?

A new toolkit to assist Alberta teachers with LGBTQ discussions is being slammed by critics for suggesting drag shows could be staged in schools and students be addressed as "comrades" rather than boys and girls.

Those are just two of the proposals in a 150-page document from the Alberta Teachers' Association (ATA). The "Prism Toolkit for Safe and Caring Discussions" aims to help teachers create classrooms and curriculum that are more LGBTQ inclusive.

The backlash over the toolkit, being distributed in schools this month, is just the latest in a divisive battle over LGBTQ rights for students, pitting advocates against religious and parental groups.
