One dead, three injured in Munich terror attack

A man shouting "Allahu Akbar" ran through a railway station outside of Munich, stabbing travelers waiting to board a train on Tuesday. At least one person was killed and three wounded in the apparent terror attack.

The incident occurred at around 4:50 a.m. local time in the town of Grafing, not far from Munich.

Police report that the attacker, a 27-year old man, is in custody, but have yet to confirm that the attack was indeed an act of terrorism. The state prosecutor's office did acknowledge that the attack had an apparent "Islamist background", but have yet to officially categorize it as a terrorist attack.
