And while they have noted the fall of Ted Haggard, few are linking him to the election.

And yet, even before his sordid personal life came to light (effectively ending his ministry), he had delivered the Evangelical vote into the hands of their enemy, the Left wing of American politics.

THE WAR WITHIN THE WAR

This summer marks the anniversary of Israel 's war against Hizbollah in Lebanon . The country of Lebanon has been the victim of war and destruction, almost regularly, over the last 25 years. It has been victimized by Islamic parties and governments that care only for their ideological and religious battles, regardless of the welfare of their “puppet's” people.

Such was the case of Hizbollah using Lebanon as their staging ground for invading Israeli territory, killing Israeli soldiers, and kidnapping two of their comrades last July. Hizbollah, supported by money and weapons from Syria and Iran , almost took control of Lebanon this past year, because the Islamofascists claim that the government is too pro-Western. Many experts claim that Iran has already re-armed Hizbollah, and warn that these terrorists will again attack Israel this summer.

Recent reports have also claimed that, not only Hizbollah, but Al-Qaeda, are now actively recruiting members in Gaza and the so-called “ West Bank ” of Israel . That little nation, the size of Prince Edward Island , is surrounded by Islamic extremists, and is the only democracy in the whole region. The State of Israel is, to put it proverbially, “between the Dome of the Rock, and a hard place”!

The religious and political wars that are raging around and within her borders convince us of the following conclusions concerning Israel:

The So-called “Palestinian” Arabs Are Not Capable Of Governing Themselves.

Hamas has decimated Fatah in Gaza and Fatah is trying to destroy Hamas in the so-called “ West Bank ”. Sunnis are killing Shi'ites and Wahhabis are killing both Shi'ites and Sunnis--each party considering all other groups as infidels. Look at what has happened in Gaza since the Israelis--both army and citizens—pulled out two tears ago: there has been nothing but anarchy and murder. Look at what is happening in Lebanon , where the Lebanese army has been forced to invade a so-called “Palestinian Refugee Camp”, in order to root out and destroy the terrorist group, Fatah al-Islam.

The western idea and ideal of democracy is so foreign to the Muslim mind, that it is impossible to envisage the so-called “Road Map To Peace” succeeding, as it is imposed on the region by the international “Quartet”.

In a February 4, 2007 article in the Jerusalem Post , an Arab in Gaza is quoted as saying, “We are telling the world that we don't deserve (our own) state because we are murdering each other and destroying our universities, colleges, mosques and hospitals. Today I'm ashamed to say that I'm a Palestinian.”

The So-called “Road Map” Will Not Lead To Peace If Israel Gives Up Land To The Arabs:

Again, look what has happened in Gaza in the past two years. Israel lived up to its “Road Map” obligations by withdrawing both her Israel Defense Forces and citizens from Gaza . But this “Road Map” did not lead to peace: on the contrary, Muslims are murdering Muslims, Muslims are persecuting and attacking Christians, and the Islamofascists are now even closer in proximity to Ashkelon and Ashdod in “Israel proper”, as they rain down their rockets on Sderot almost daily!

“Giving up land for peace” has never worked—and never will work. The “Road Map's” goal of a “two-state solution,” has already produced two states: Hamas' Gaza , and Fatah's “ West Bank ”. And all the while, these two main factions refuse to recognize the “third state”, Israel , and revoke their avowed purposes and Charters of destroying her by “pushing her into the Mediterranean Sea ”!

And only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob could have mercy on Israel if she ever gives up the Golan Heights in her bid for peace. Such a political move would be suicidal, and would never produce a real or lasting peace with the Syrians.

But our God is merciful, and He has promised to protect His special people and their nation:

Blessed are you, O Israel ! Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD ?

He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will

cower before you, and you will trample down their high places.

(Deuteronomy 33:29)

And our God is sovereign in His plans and actions against Israel 's enemies:

“I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian—brother will fight against brother,

neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.

(Isaiah 19:2)

Now is the time to take God's side in support of Israel . As the Apostle Paul wrote,

I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God's truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs so that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;

I will sing hymns to your name.”…For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.

(Romans 15:8, 27)
